¿Cuál es el Chocolate más Rico de Colombia?

What Is the Most Delicious Chocolate in Colombia?

Posted by Sara Maldonado on

For the past 7 years, we've traveled Colombia's cacao country and its farms — tasting our way through the nuances and singular notes this land offers.

After years of research and careful tastings — focused on the chocolates that have won the top international awards — we've come to understand just how exceptional Colombian chocolate is. In February 2024 it won an award in Amsterdam as the best cacao in the world at the international “Cacao of Excellence” competition.

Which brings us to the question that has driven us all along: what is the most delicious chocolate in Colombia?

Our answer is a sensory journey — a tasting that brings together Colombian chocolates and coffees in a single experience, where every bite and every sip points back to the origins that make Colombia a world reference in cacao and coffee.

In the Origen Edition box, you'll find a careful selection of coffee and cacao from 6 different origins. Each region brings its own notes, aromas, and flavors, shaped by the soil it grows in. That variety gives life to 3 balanced pairings — a tribute from Honesto and Magno to every lover of Colombian coffee and cacao.

Each chocolate in the Origen Edition box is hand-painted and finished with 24-karat gold leaf. These chocolates — medal winners at the International Chocolate Awards — include 4 semi-dark chocolates (64%) from the Sierra Nevada with a red berry ganache filling, 4 milk chocolates (53%) from Tumaco filled with Vanilla planifolia, and 4 dark chocolates (70%) from Arauca with an orange and honey filling.

This selection is the product of international medals and research across the country in search of deeply specialized single-origin chocolates. The Origen box is an invitation to explore different intensities of chocolate — each one designed to match a different kind of coffee.

It's the most specialized chocolate box you'll find in Colombia, and it comes with 3 coffee drips from Honesto, selected from the best regions of Antioquia and Colombia. From the Caicedo origin with notes of red berries and blackberry yogurt, to the Barrio La Sierra origin in Medellín with notes of bitter chocolate, nuts, and panela, to the Urrao origin with notes of honey, lemongrass, and florals — each coffee pairs cleanly with the chocolate tasting.

Taste the coffee and the chocolates separately first, then let them meet on the palate — the pairings are designed for balance. In the Origen box you'll find the best of Colombian chocolate: a sensory tour of what's ours, made with hand-selected, high-quality beans. For us, it's the answer to the question — the most delicious chocolate in Colombia.
